Rother Junior Table Tennis Event

A total of 40 Junior players from Sussex competed in this seasons Rother Junior Table Tennis Event.  The banded event catered for all standards of players from those that have only just recently started competing in the sport through to the more seasoned, developing player. Unfortunately this season only 3 of the 4 bands organised took place, however the event continued to prove popular with all players enjoying a good days play. Tournament organiser Kevin Haffenden was particularly delighted to see so many local young players taking part in a tournament for the first time. ‘ Many of the younger players were from our Schools’ Link Programme. Some of these players have only been playing a matter of a few months so its very encouraging to see them take part in an event of this nature at such an early stage of their development’.

The event was once again supported by Rother District Council.
